the nature of captivity is inspired by the "Dog Catcher Riots" and about a wave of human progress washing over an indigenous society causing the only remaining native family to fight back against their oppressors.

Part I: A fully-staged presentation which incorporates of the physical'life of the piece, including various forms of movement (Viewpoints, Suzuki, Martial Arts, and animal work). 

Part II:
A staged-reading of the second half of the piece which examines captivity from the captor's side.
